ANNA PELLETIER (published on May 09, 2009)

ANNA PELLETIER ( nee BRISEBOIS ) It is with sadness and deep sorrow that the family of Anna announces her peaceful passing on May 6, 2009 at the age of 98 years. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Philippe; daughter, Evelyna and her husband Eugene Gibson; sons, Eugene, George, Toussaint (Sam), and Donat; grandson, Roger, and son-in-law, Oscar Lagassé. She is survived by her children, Euclide (Vi), Diane (Marcel) Lagassé, Alma Lagassé, and Raymond (Linda); daughters-in-law, Dorothy, Simone, and Cyprienne, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great-grandchildren. Anna was born on the family farm in Bellegarde, Saskatchewan on February 1, 1911 along with her three brothers and four sisters. She married Philippe on April 22, 1930 and they went on to have nine children as well as raising two grandchildren, Marliss and Leander Gibson. They started their family in Bellegarde and left in 1945 moving on to Fannystelle, Manitoba. They then moved to St. Adolphe in 1948 where they lived the remainder of their lives. Anna's focus was always on her family; there was never an empty seat in her kitchen. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at the St. Adolphe Personal Care Home for their wonderful care, and to the many friends that Anna made during the past few years. Funeral mass in celebration of Anna's life will be held at the St. Adolphe Roman Catholic Church in St. Adolphe, Manitoba on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
