CAROL LYNN WEBSTER (nee KOMUS) On May 11, 2009, after a brief illness, Carol Lynn Webster (nee Komus) passed away at the age of 59. Carol will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 34 years, Blair; her parents Art and Gwen Komus; her brother Scott (Sheelagh) and sister Lori (Lawrence) Parsons; her nephew Chris and her nieces, Heather, Shena, Sara and Marlene; her great-niece Nilaya; her mother-in-law Dorothy; brothers-in-law Ron and Garry; her Uncle Keith; and many cousins and friends. Carol was born in Winnipeg on March 15, 1950. She graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduating, Carol traveled by boat to Australia and it was on this voyage that she met her future husband, Blair, who was en route from Vancouver. Carol lived and worked in Adelaide, Australia for two years and on October 26, 1974, she and Blair were married. After honeymooning across Europe, Carol and Blair returned to Canada, residing in New Westminster, B.C. Over the next few years, Carol obtained her CGA certification and worked in the accounting field. Carol and Blair also lived in Calgary and Oakville, Ontario before retiring to Ajijic, Mexico in 2000. Carol loved to travel and she and Blair took many exciting trips around the world including South America, China, and Nepal. She also had a great interest in music and sang in Los Cantantes del Lago, a well-known choir in Mexico. Carol was very active in her community in Mexico and she and Blair made many close friends.
