| VERNA NELSON (nee JOHNSON) March 23, 1930 - May 14, 2009 Verna passed away peacefully surrounded by many of her loving family. Verna is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert; daughter Bobbi (Alan) Winkler, grandchildren Chris (Jen) and Danielle; daughter Dale (Dwayne) Schott, grandchildren Kristen and Robbie. She is also survived by five sisters, three brothers and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father William, mother Bertha Eliza; sisters Hazel and Audrey and brothers Ivan and Harvey. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Verna's memory to the Central Church of Christ, Attention: Missions, 170 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg, MB R2H 1H9.
