GINETTE BREMAULT (published on May 16, 2009)

GINETTE BREMAULT It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ginette Brémault, on May 11, 2009, at the Foyer Valade, at the age of 49 years. Ginette is lovingly remembered by her parents, Gaston and Céline (St-Hilaire), her sisters and brother, Nicole (Norman Dugas), Lise, Joëlle (David MacNair), Suzanne, Luc (Marie-Paule Sabourin), Lynne (Robert Parent), 11 nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and, many cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents Auguste and Louise-Anna Brémault and Edouard and Mariange St-Hilaire. Third child in the family, Ginette was born with Down's syndrome. She genuinely loved people and especially enjoyed chatting and giving hugs. After attending école Ste-Agathe, Ginette moved in with Rose-Marie and the St-Vincent family in Ste-Anne-des-Chênes at the age of 10 where she attended a special education program in Steinbach. At 20 years of age, she graduated from this program and then moved to St-Malo to work at the Red River Workshop, where she proudly made her life for over 20 years. Ginette would return home every second weekend, but she was always happy to return to her home to find Noella and all her friends. Ginette spent her last two years at the Foyer Valade, under the attentive care of her sisters and staff. The family would like to thank the staff at the St-Malo residence and workshop as well as the staff at the Foyer Valade for their love and care for Ginette. Ginette's life will be celebrated at the Ste-Agathe Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 19, at 4:30 pm, with l'abbé Alphonse Bongo presiding. Prayers will take place at 4:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment of the cremated remains will follow at the Ste-Agathe Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Red River Workshop, Box 280, St-Malo, MB, R0A 1T0. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at: www.desjardins-funeral.ca DESJARDINS 233-4949 1-888-233-4949
