LARRY NOBLE WESTHAVER It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Larry Westhaver on Friday, May, 15, 2009 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli, MB. Larry is survived by his wife Doris Yanchishyn; step children: Rob (Sherry) Yanchishyn; Brad (Tanis) Yanchishyn; Brenda (Marc) Guenette; Brent (Angie) Yanchishyn; children: Pam Fife; Craig Westhaver; grandchildren: Felicia (Johnny), Patrick, Nicholas, Stephanie, Josh, Jessica, Sarah, Lucas, Kait, Brooke and Samantha; great-grandchildren: Keara and Tegan. Also surviving are his sister Iona Baker and his brother Ronald Westhaver (Connie). He will be sadly missed by his dog Sam. Greatest joy of all for Larry was the love he had for his grandchildren. Larry was president of the Khartum Kops and a Shriner for over 25 years. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite; member of the Clarke Lodge #61 in Chester, NS. He was employed as a power engineer by the City of Winnipeg, Winnipeg Convention Centre. A funeral service celebrating Larry's life will take place on Tuesday, May 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry's memory may be made to the Shriner Patient Transportation Fund, 1155 Wilkes Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3P 1B9.
