ROBERT J. (BOB) MUNROE It is with sadness that we announce Robert J. (Bob) Munroe passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the Stonewall Hospital. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, partner in marriage nearing 49 years; sons James and Ian (Patricia) and daughter Peggy (Randy). He also leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews as well as his first cousins Barbara and David and all of the extended family. He was Uncle Bob to manya role he enjoyed very much. Bob also had many friends from many different places. Bob was predeceased by his parents Rob and Alda Munroe and his two sisters, Donna Peterson (1974) and Marjorie Buckinger (2008). Bob was born October 11, 1932 and farmed his entire life at the family farmAcorn Acresof which he was very proud. Some of his passions included reading, flying his private plane, raising Charolais cattle, car trips, playing the banjo, hunting and fishing. He was very proud of his Scottish heritage and took pride in belonging to the Lord Selkirk Association which he served as President for a few years. A funeral service will be held in the Warren United Church on Thursday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. with lunch following at the Warren Hall. Flowers are declined, with thanks. If so desired, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or the Warren United Church. Rest in Peace, Bob; we shall miss you always.
