KELLY WAYNE HOFFART (published on June 16, 2009)

KELLY WAYNE HOFFART On Friday June 12, 2009, Kelly Hoffart passed away suddenly at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba with his family at his side, at the age of 46 years. Remaining to forever cherish Kelly's memory are his loving wife Christine; sons Joshua, Dylan, and Shaun; mother Francis; sisters Laurel (Rick) Gallant, Donella (Brent) Harvey; brothers Marlin (Patty), Darren, and Cory all of Regina, SK; as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Kelly was predeceased by his father Leonard. Kelly was born on March 17, 1963 in Estevan, SK, the first of six children to Leonard and Francis Hoffart. He grew up on a farm in Benson. After graduating he moved to Regina, SK. He began working at Acklands-Grainger where he worked for the next 28 years. Acklands was something that Kelly was very proud of. He knew he would never leave except to retire, of course. Kelly was married to Christine (Zurn) in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota October 7, 1989. Kelly was involved with the Knights of Columbus and First Kirkfield Venture Group. As many of you know, Kelly's passion was the Boston Red Sox. Our family recently attended a game. The boys were amazed to see how Kelly was able to start a conversation with the stranger next to him. Most of the time they either both knew the same people, were related or yes, they were another Boston fan. Kelly's true love was his family and raising his boys. He enjoyed traveling and experiencing new things. He was able to see many great destinations with his family. He will be remembered in our hearts as a loving, thoughtful, caring man who always put others ahead of himself, always willing to lend a helping hand and never complained. Prayers will be held on Thursday, June 18 at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 320 St. Charles Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 19 at 10:30 a.m., also in the Church with Rev. Fr. Terance McGrath presiding. Interment will follow in the St. Charles Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery, 320 St. Charles Street. Thank you to Dr. Kotecha at the Assiniboia Clinic and staff at the Grace Hospital for taking care of him and his family as we said goodbye.
