JENNIE LORRAINE BODNER (published on July 13, 2009)



JENNIE LORRAINE BODNER (nee MLYNAROVICH) It is with great sadness the family of Jennie Bodner announces her passing on Thursday, July 9, 2009, after a brief illness. Jennie was born on October 19, 1920, daughter to William and Anna Mlynarovich. Jennie married Daniel Bodner on November 11, 1940. They resided in Pine Ridge until 1964. Their farm became a part of Bird's Hill Park. Jennie worked the greater part of her life on the farm in Pine Ridge, then moving to Cooks Creek and then Transcona in 1990. She loved gardening and animals, which was evident in the beautiful flower gardens she grew. Jennie lost her husband Dan in 1980, and daughter Elaine in 1989. She is also predeceased by her parents and brothers John, Joe, Casmir and sister Anne Mihalyk. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by daughter Pat (Reg), grandchildren Colleen (Tony), Dana (friend Fred), Shelley (Roger), Curtis (Lori), great-grandchildren Shane, Travis, Daniel, Steven, Ainsley. Siblings Olga Stasynec and Nick Mlynarovich. Our sincere thank you to family, dear friends, residents of East Park Lodge and staff, Charles Toop, Maria Thomas, Taryn Hinds and Lesia McCannon, for all of the prayers, guidance and visits during this difficult time. Many thanks to the staff at N1 South Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division. Memorial service will be held at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., Winnipeg, MB, on Tuesday, July 14 2009, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Bird's Hill Park She will be sadly missed and dearly remembered by her family and friends. Forever in our hearts
