PATRICIA WEISE (published on July 22, 2009)

PATRICIA WEISE It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Weise on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, peacefully after a courageous battle with Cancer. Pat leaves wonderful memories and takes with her the love of her partner Bob and her children, Rhonda (Ward), Miles (Barb) and Dwight; grandchildren Nadine (Darryl), Kenneth, Adam (Stephanie), Derrick, Dale and Kaila and great-grandchild Madison; as well as numerous family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Ross and Alice Harcus, husband Archie and her daughter Cheryl. Pat was born in Selkirk and raised in the Lockport area, where many of her family and friends remain. She spent a good portion of her life as a Pink Lady courier and loved the interaction with the various people that it allowed her to meet over the years. One of her other joys in life was travelling the countryside where again she made various friends whom she always stayed in touch with. God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be, He closed his arms around you and whispered Come to Me . In tears we saw you sinking. We watched you fade away. Our hearts were almost broken; you fought so hard to stay. But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully free from pain, We could not wish you back, to suffer so again. So keep your arms around her Lord and give her special care. Make up for all that she suffered and all that seemed unfair. We are grateful to all of our friends and family who provided support and strength to our Mom and family during this difficult time. Mom for all your years of love and support, we thank-you. For being our strength, for holding our hands, for always believing in us, know that you will be cherished, always in our hearts and our minds. Cremation has taken place; a memorial service celebrating Mom's life will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy. with interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery.
