HERVE (HARVEY) LEO JOSEPH LUSSIER (published on July 25, 2009)

HERVE (HARVEY) LEO JOSEPH LUSSIER August 27, 1930 - July 17, 2009 After a lengthy illness, Hervé passed away on July 17, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. Hervé was predeceased by his son Roger (Ingrid) in 2001. Left to cherish Hervé's memory are his wife Jeannine, his children, Vivianne Fowlie (Bob), Paul (Dawn), Joanne Holt (Dave); nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Hervé was born in Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba on August 27, 1930. He quit school at an early age to work on the family farm. From there he became a heavy equipment operator and then worked as a machinist, retiring from Western Engine. Hervé was a quiet family man who spent much of his spare time fixing old cars and helping people. The last several years of Hervé's life were spent in the River East Personal Care Home. The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to the entire staff at River East for the caring and respect that was provided to our Dad over the years, especially in the last few weeks, and for the support provided to our whole family. Cremation has taken place and a private family ceremony celebrating Hervé's life took place on July 22, 2009 at River East. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hervé's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO.
