| KENNETH (KEN) PEACEY Suddenly on July 22, 2009 Ken passed away, he was born on November 17, 1939 in Winnipeg. Ken will be lovingly missed by Norma his wife of 47 years, his children Ken (Bev), April (Trevor), Bob (Tammy), and Kathleen (Clayton), his grandchildren Christina, Gavin, Whitney, Tyson, and Wade, brothers Harry (Pat) and Larry (Pauline), as well as a nephew Keith, and nieces; Janice, Kathy, Maria, Diane, Paula and Theresa. In 2005, Ken retired with 37 years of service from E. H. Price. Ken (Dad, Poppy) was an avid shopper and found great pleasure in finding a bargain, this combined with his unique taste, style and fashion sense and his generosity made every gift giving and / or receiving, holiday or event a true adventure. Ken was a great story teller and his tall tales and sense of humor will be missed. In a final act of generosity his organs were donated. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Riverwood Community Church, 257 Riverton Ave. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Ken's honour to Community of Hope Food bank located at Riverwood Church Community, 274 Riverton Ave., Winnipeg. As well A tin for the Bin' non perishable food items will be collected in the foyer prior to the service, monetary donations at that time can be given to church staff. |
