ALFREDO CATIIS January 2, 1934 - August 2, 2009 Peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2009 with his family by his side, Alfredo Catiis passed from the loving arms of his family to the loving arms of his Creator, Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at the Grace Hospital at the age of 75. Remaining to forever cherish his memory are his beloved wife for 52 years, Clara Lingasin Catiis; son Frederick (Ma. Lourdes), children, Richelle, Frederick Jr, and Lesley; daughter Janet, children, Jennifer (Andrew), Sameer and Maheer; daughter Annabelle (Jerry), children, Catherine, Johnry and Annjerika; daughter Antonette (Diosdado), children, Faith, Christian and Micah; son Patrick (Josephine), children, Vladimir, Marie Claire, Christine and Justine, and lastly all his great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, relatives, in-laws, and friends. Alfredo was born in Manila, Philippines and worked as a contractor. Once he arrived in Canada, even at his old age, he worked as a custodian to provide the needs for all his loved ones way back in the Philippines. He was a hardworking man with a joyful heart and would always light a smile on anyone's face. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, paramedics and staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital, the Health Sciences Centre, and the Grace Hospital. Lamay/Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2009, and Friday, August 14, 2009 at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. commencing at 6:00 p.m. and concluding at the request of the family. Funeral service will be held at the Maples Evangelical Church, 1575 Inkster Blvd. on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor William Garcia officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. Reception will be held at The Maples Evangelical Church following the interment.
