DORATHIA MARGARET DAVIS (MARGARE (published on August 11, 2009)

DORATHIA MARGARET DAVIS (MARGARET, MAGGIE) May 31, 1949 - August 7, 2009 It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Margaret (Maggie) with her beloved family by her side, on the morning of August 7th, 2009 at the Women's Hospital (HSC). Margaret (Maggie) was born in Red Lake, Ont., raised in Millage, Ont. and moved to Winnipeg where she attended to her schooling. She met her husband in 1967 and welcomed their first daughter in 1968 and their second daughter in 1970. Although she worked at numerous jobs in her lifetime, her most important job was taking care of her family. She was a person that would help whenever, wherever and whomever she possibly could. She was known for her crafting, scrapbooking, knitting, crocheting and embroidery, and known for sharing her works of art with family and friends. Margaret (Maggie) was predeceased by her parents, Ivy Knapp (Biggar, Sask.) and Thomas Davis (Red Lake, Ont.). Margaret (Maggie) will always be in the hearts and memories of her husband George Ford of West St Paul, Man.; her daughters, Coral (Wayne) Ritchot of Winnipeg and Shawna (Fred) Taylor of Rockwood, Man.; her grandchildren Christopher, Eric, Travis and Sara Ritchot, George Davis (Stacy Hillman), Brittney and Brandon Taylor; her great-grandchildren Jason and Cody Ritchot; sister Elefriede Flett (Larry) of Stony Mountain, Man; nephews Andre (Sharon), Daniel and Dillon Flett; niece Kasandra Flett; great-nieces Breanna and Kira Flett; her favourite sister-in-law Alice Yourchenko and many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends. At Margaret's request, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of her memory will take place at a later date. The family would like to express their appreciation to Doctor Ong (CancerCare Manitoba), Doctor Dean (HSC), the nurses and staff (5th Floor) at Women's Hospital (HSC) for making her last few days as peaceful and comfortable as possible. We also are thankful to them for the kindness, thoughtfulness and support shown to the family during this painfully short but trying time. Flowers are gratefully declined however contributions may be made to CancerCare Manitoba in her memory. 843 Sherbrook Street - 774-7474 Condolences: www.bardal.ca
