LILLY WALDTRAUT ALBRIGHT (published on August 11, 2009)

LILLY WALDTRAUT ALBRIGHT (nee REINHARDT) Mrs. Lilly Albright, aged 87 years, of Beausejour, MB, dearly beloved wife of the late Gordon Albright, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2009 in Beausejour, MB after suffering a stroke earlier this week. Much loved mother to Kendall (Jane) and Sherri Surowich (David), dear grandmother to Christie, Zachary, Peter and Kate. She is also survived by her sister Irma and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Gordon in 1999, brothers Johannes (John), Friedrich, Ernest and Gerhardt (Gerry) and sisters Mathilde, Amalie, Louise and Hilde and her parents Daniel and Elizabeth. Lil emigrated to Canada from Prussia in 1929 to begin a new life with her parents and siblings in Lydiatt. Lil also worked for the Royal Bank till she met her husband and then set about raising her own family. Lil's life has been blessed with much love from those around her and was grateful to God for her family and extended family which included many dear nieces and nephews. She leaves a legacy of abiding faith and belief in eternal life to those whose life she has touched. The family offers their thanks to Dr. Daphne Schmidt and the nursing staff of the Beausejour Hospital for bringing great comfort to Lil and her family during her last days. Please join family for a celebration of Lil's life on Wednesday, August 12 at 3:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB with Pastor Don Reimer officiating.
