KATHY JAN MILNE (published on August 14, 2009)

KATHY JAN MILNE Suddenly on Saturday, August 8, our beloved daughter, sister and mother, Kathy Jean Milne was taken from us. Kathy was born in Oshawa, Ontario, February 7, 1960, but she had spent most of her life in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She had just moved to Saskatchewan to take up a position with Parkland College when she passed away. Kathy started her career early in her life as a writer and was recognized many times for her exemplary work. Her life's journey took her to working as an executive director in various positions within the building trades. She loved her work and was passionate about it, as she was about her home and her beliefs. Kathy was the reason for many firsts in her field. Although at times her life was difficult she always strived to be the best that she could be. Kathy's greatest joy and blessing in her life, was her daughter Madison who she leaves to mourn as well as her mother Adrienne, and siblings, Richard Page, Janis Falkiner (Pat), Dan Milne, all of Winnipeg, and her identical twin Karen, (Jack) of Kamsack, Saskatchewan with who she shared a special bond with. She also leaves to mourn, her nieces, Samantha and Sarah Routley of Regina, Saskatchewan, nephews, Trevor and Ryan Walterson of Winnipeg and nephew Jacob Koreluik of Kamsack. A memorial for Kathy will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2:30, at St. Martin's-in the Fields, 160 Smithfield. MB. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Canadian Mental Health Association- Winnipeg. Envelopes will be provided at memorial.
