LILLIAN MARINA GINGRAS (published on August 15, 2009)



LILLIAN MARINA GINGRAS December 19, 1918 - August 12, 2009 Peacefully, on August 12, 2009 at Pinawa Hospital, Lillian Gingras passed away at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husband Bernard; parents Abram and Margaret Neufeld; brother Clarence Newfield and sister Margaret Bueckert. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Lois Byron (Fred), Kenneth Gingras and Joan Einarson (Ken). Her grandchildren Bruce Einarson (Brenda), Deborah Einarson Woods, Coral and Amber Gingras, Cynthia Betten (Jamie) and Penny Lobchuk (Stan) plus eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother John Neufeld, sister-in-law Gertie Miller and true friend Margaret Gingras. Mom spent 37 summers in Grand Marais at her cottage. That was her freedom place. She happily spent the last one and a half years at Bonny Vista Lodge in Lac du Bonnet. She made many friends and joined in all the social activities. She especially loved her daily domino games with the Rowdy Group and Friday afternoon Happy Hour . The family would like to thank the staff of Bonny Vista Lodge and the Pinawa Hospital for their care and support. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers should friends desire, donations may be made in Lillian's memory to the SSGL-NEHA Social Fund, Bonny Vista Lodge, 75 McIntosh St., Lac du Bonnet, MB, R0E 1A0.
