PAT WIEBE (published on August 24, 2009)

PAT WIEBE (nee GREGORCHUK) Peacefully on August 21, 2009 with her family by her side, Pat chose to walk through the gates of Heaven. She will be forever loved and missed by her husband Ben; daughters, Sheryl (Mike), Amy (Don), and son Christopher (Kristina); grandchildren, Dylan, Shelby, Shayla, Isabella. Mom is also survived by her sisters, Jean (Walter), Elsie (Clifford), Marie (Wesley), Verna (Terry) and brother John (Kelly), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents John and Rose Gregorchuk. Mom was born in Vita, MB on June 30, 1956 where she spent many years with her family on the farm in Arbakka, MB. In 1974, Mom moved to Steinbach where she worked at the personal care home. During this time, she met and married her husband Ben in 1975. Shortly after, they relocated to the Sundown area where they started their family. They moved to Winnipeg in 1983 and on to the Anola area in 1998. During this time she worked at Winnipeg Supply Services and then later many years with Acme Welding. Mom was a gentle, kind loving lady with a great sense of humour. She cherished her family, friends, with all the special moments and memories. She would never miss a baseball or soccer game with her children and grandchildren or never missed a school play or concert. Mom loved spending time at her Miami Beach Campground family cabin. The time spent there with family and friends were special moments in her life. She was president of the Miami Beach Campers Association for the past three years where she was actively involved in planning, organizing, and fundraising for the campground. Mom was full of life, always very busy, always helping others. Do not mourn for me, I have not left you, look into the eyes of my family and you will find me there. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the St. Boniface Hospital and CancerCare for all their care and support. Viewing and prayers will be held at the Vita Funeral Home, Vita, MB on Tuesday August 25, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 26, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Vita Funeral Home Vita, MB. Interment to follow at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Arbakka, MB. Arrangements entrusted with Vita Funeral Homes Vita Chapel Vita, Manitoba (204) 425-3114
