MARY HOFFMAN It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Hoffman on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, with her sons by her side at the Holy Family Nursing Home. Mary was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1977 and their son Jan in 1949. Remaining to forever cherish her memories are sons Rick (Lorie) and Ed (Judy) as well as her grandchildren: Chad, Cher, Chelsea and Samantha. Mary was born on October 7, 1925 in Golubie, Poland, arriving in Canada after the war in 1948 and receiving her citizenship in 1959. Mary resided in Halifax, NS for a short period of time before making Winnipeg her permanent home for 61 years. Mary enjoyed her work at St. Boniface Hospital for 30 years, 8A with the infants. She was an active member of C.W.L. St. Andrew Bobola Church and enjoyed many hobbies of needlepoint, gardening and cooking for her beloved family. Thank you dearly to Mom's room-mates, and many friends who visited her almost every Sunday especially Jennifer, Rhonda and Donna. With great appreciation, our family would like to thank the staff at Holy Family Nursing Home, St. Mary's Ward, for the care they provided for our mother. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 29 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 541 Marion St. with prayers one-half hour prior to the Mass. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.
