DAVID HOLMES DYSON (published on September 26, 2009)

DAVID HOLMES DYSON Peacefully, with his family by his side, Dave Dyson passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at the age of 79. He will be missed so very much by his wife, Joan of 55 years. He was a wonderful father and loved by Lori Macario (Tony), Barb Chapman (David), David (Kiersten), Cathy Bay (Darcy) and Bill (Cindy). Dave loved and enjoyed his grandchildren: Denise, Michelle, Michael, Nicholas, Colin, Maria, Travis and Kyle. He also leaves to mourn his sister Carolyn Wilson (Claude); brother-in-law Dick Vopni and many nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his parents, Evelyn and David Dyson. Dave, Joan and family left City Life in 1974 for rural living and over the years, together, they designed and built three different homes. Dad had an enthusiasm for life and an inquisitive mind. He loved nature, travel and was always learning, inventing and perfecting new skills as needed. He was a skilled craftsman and artist, creating treasured pieces of woodwork. He taught us so much! A celebration of Dave's life will take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, Church at Pine Ridge (located at the corner of Garven Road and Highway 207) at 3:00 p.m. If desired, remembrances may be made to CancerCare or a charity of your choice.
