MARGARET HELEN HUDSON (published on October 01, 2009)

MARGARET HELEN HUDSON (nee ROBERTSON) June 24, 1931 September 27, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother and Nan , Margaret Hudson. Margaret was predeceased by her dearly loved daughter, Karen Kowbel. She will be forever cherished and remembered by her children, Lesley (Geoff) Newsham, Sue (Bruno) Peters, Sandy (Michael) Knudson and Karen's husband, Brian Kowbel; her grandchildren, Paul Newsham, Crystal (Kyle) Bornais, Vanessa, Daniel and Ellen Kowbel, Alyssa and Quinn Peters, Liam and Rachel Knudson and many dear friends. Margaret was born and raised in Winnipeg. She spent the early years of her marriage in England where Lesley and Karen were born. Sue and Sandy joined the family in the years spent in eastern Canada with the family returning to Winnipeg to settle near family and good friends. Inheriting her father's love of Minaki, most summers of Margaret's life were spent enjoying lake life with family and friends at the cottage. Margaret's focus was always her children, instilling in them and her grandchildren a life long love of animals, gardening, and reading. She had hoped to have four boys and her wish was granted with her sons-in-law whom she adored. There was always much laughter at family gatherings. Margaret's generosity and strength of spirit touched many and helped us through difficult times over the years. She embraced our family's tribute to Karen to live life with no regrets and to treasure every moment with family and friends. Margaret would want that to be her legacy as well. We are comforted knowing that her final days were spent with joy over the arrival of her new little kitten Simba. He has found a new loving home with Sandy's family despite Michael's two cat rule. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made in Margaret's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society or to a charity of one's choice. Anyone who has a book collection and a garden wants for nothing . Cicero THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to
