BRUCE JOHN FOLLIS (published on October 03, 2009)

BRUCE JOHN FOLLIS Bruce John Follis passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, September 25, 2009. Dad was born on the Follis family farm on June 26, 1943 to John and Rose, where he grew up with four brothers and two sisters. He will be missed so very much by his wife Ruby, his daughters Candy (Glenn) Weeks and Angie (Henning) and children Rylan and Hayden Wubbe, sons Kevin (Jody) and children Jade and Brody, Curtis, Paul (Darlene). Dad's joys in life were grain farming, cattle and gardening. Along with farming dad was employed by the R.M. of Louise until his cancer diagnosis of multiple myeloma in 2006. Other passions in life were curling, baseball and bowling which were passed down to his children. If he was not driving around in his truck, checking up on things, you could often find him cheering on his children's sporting events. One of the greatest memories he will be missed for will be his knack for teasing both his own children and now grandchildren. You could definitely see that they all brought great joy and laughter to his life. His 66 years of life were fulfilled with what life had to offer and one of his fondest memories was to see his son and daughter-in-law make their home on a piece of the family farm. Dad's strong will and the desire to enjoy life eased his family's worries during his treatments and hospital stays. As per Bruce's wishes, no formal service was held. A private family graveside service took place. Anyone wishing to make donations may do so to CancerCare Manitoba www.cancercare.mb.ca or to a charity of your choice. Graham's Funeral Service entrusted with arrangements. www.wheatlnd.com
