JEANNINE PELLETIER (published on October 08, 2009)

JEANNINE PELLETIER (nee BERNIER) Peacefully and surrounded by family, Jeannine passed away on October 5th 2009. She was the beloved wife of Paul Pelletier and the daughter of the late Célina Girouard and Nazaire Bernier. She was predeceased by her sister Lorraine Bernier and her brother Clarence Bernier (Juliette). Born and raised in Saint-Boniface, Manitoba, she worked as a radiology technician before moving to Quebec in 1956. Jeannine and Paul were married for 53 years and Jeannine, throughout that time, was a driving force behind the Pelletier family. She was devoted to her family, her friends and cherished the many happy moments spent with them at the family cottage in Weedon. She has left behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, courage and zest for life that is an inspiration to all. She will be greatly missed by her husband (Paul) and her five children, Claire (Daniel), Lorraine (Tony), Françoise, Jean (France) and Hélène (Rick), her eleven grand-children, Véronique (André), Philippe (Nancy), Mathieu, Adam, Jeffrey, Gabrielle, Christina, Ariane, Alexis, Elyse, Peter, her two great-grandchildren Camille and Olivier, her brother-in-law Pierre Pelletier (Suzanne), her sister-in-law Suzanne Pelletier, her sister-in-law Nicole Pelletier (Dave), her friend Céline Lahaye (Marcel) as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A celebration of Jeannine's life will be preceded by visitation which will take place at the Coopérative Funéraire de l'Estrie, 485 rue 24 Juin, Sherbrooke, Quebec on Friday, October 9th 2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St-Boniface Nativité de Jésus Church, 75 Morris in Sherbrooke, Quebec. The family will be present at the church at 10:00 a.m. to receive condolences from parents and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations, in Jeannine's memory, can be made to La Maison Aube Lumière. The family would like to thank the personnel and volunteers of la Maison Aube Lumière for their devotion and loving care.
