| ANNE LUCKO 1919 - 2009 On October 6, 2009, at Riverview Health Centre, Mom passed away peacefully in her 90th year. She was predeceased by her husband, William in 1998, and is survived by her children, Ernest (Patricia) Lucko, Diane (Dr. Harvey) Lee; grandchildren, Brent (Kim) Lucko, Kelly (Heidi) Lucko. She lived to see her great-grandsons, identical twins, Aiden and Brady, born to Brent and Kim just weeks ago. She is also survived by her brother Walter (Ann) Nimchuk; sister Liz (Jack) Coffey, as well as many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Hazelglen, she and her husband operated a country store moving to Transcona in 1969. There, she continued with her many activities, especially quilting, leaving as her remembrance her handiwork to many family members on the special occasions of their lives. Many thanks to the staffs of Misericordia Interim Care and Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate care in the last several years. Divine Liturgy will be held Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day St. Interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery. |
