JOSEPH WALTER CHOMA July 4, 1929 March 2, 2009 Joseph (Joe) died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 79 at Red River Place, his place of residence for the last nine years. He was predeceased by his father Peter; mother Caroline; sister Millie; twin brother Bill; and his brother Ted. Joe was born and raised in Melrose, Manitoba. His life was spent on the family farm until declining health encouraged his move to Selkirk in 2000. Joe was known for his sense of humour. He had a story or a joke for any occasion. Over the years, Joe was visited faithfully by his nephew Ken, who helped care for his needs. Special thanks go to the staff at Red River Place for his care, the family and friends who visited regularly, the residents who became his friends and also to Dr. Lindenshmidt. At his request, cremation and a family gathering have occurred. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
