BRIAN GESELL (published on October 31, 2009)

BRIAN GESELL On Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Health Sciences Centre, with his family and loved ones at his side, Brian, aged 49, courageously and peacefully passed on, to join his beloved mother Ferne, and his faithful dog Wilson. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Cheryl, daughter Shauna (Devon), and son Travis, and his trusty dog Baxter; father, Walter, sister Joanne and partner Ann McLeod, brother Barry and wife Lori and their children, Taren, Cara and Jessie, and brother Dave. He will be sadly missed by father and mother-in-law Don and Marg Mancini, brother-in-law Rod Mancini and his wife Joyce and their children Derek and Tyler, brother-in-law Mark Mancini and his wife Gloria and their children Andrea and Vanessa, sister-in-law Carol Danyluk and her husband Bob and their children, Grant and Allison. Uncle Brian (Giz), has touched so many lives in his time here. A few words would be hard to describe the impact he has had on everyone that had the pleasure to know him. Brian had an amazing ability to fix anything, either with his mechanical aptitude or a kind word. A tireless worker, Brian's dedication to his career and his business, Accurate Installation and Service will be remembered by all, from his loved ones to his many business associates. Despite his hectic work schedule, he was always able to attend his children's many activities. The needs of his family and friends were always his first priority. His love of golfing and fishing managed to fill his spare time. As a long time member of A.N.O.G. (Association of Nice Overweight Guys) he will be sorely missed. Brian's golf buddies will remember him fondly, and Green's Keepers across North America will have much more free time. His trip to New Orleans with his brother Barry has brought many stories to all of us. And oh Brian could tell a story. A natural born storyteller, Brian endeared many and entertained all with his animated tales. His unique mannerisms and innuendos will have a special place in our hearts forever. A private interment service with the family has taken place. A reception to honour Brian's life will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 at Breezy Bend Country Club, 7620 Roblin Blvd., Headingley, MB, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Our sincere thanks to the Health Sciences Centre Staff of SICU and A5 for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to The Liver Foundation, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the charity of your choice.
