LAWRENCE DANIEL HUNT (published on October 31, 2009)

LAWRENCE DANIEL HUNT It is with sadness, the family announces the sudden passing of Lawrence (Rocky) Daniel Hunt of Lynn Lake, Manitoba on October 17, 2009, at the age of 57. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Laurie, his children and their families, Austin; Susanne (Grant); David (Amber); Pam (Kevin); his two step-children Clifford and Crystal; six grandchildren D'Lynn, M'Kayla, Emma, Hailey, Jeston, and Natasha. He is also survived by his brother Lynn (Marilyn) and sisters Maggie (Tony), Kathleen, Jacqueline (Barry), Judy, and Marlene and will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father John (Jack), his sister Sarah, and his son Lorne. Lawrence was born in Sherridon, Manitoba and lived his entire life in Lynn Lake, Manitoba. He couldn't have imagined living anywhere else. Lawrence was an entrepreneur by heart and his Dad sold him his first business, Westar Contractors. When he was in his early 40's he entered into a joint venture (Timberwolf Trucking) with a good friend of his, Audie. He was the Deputy Chief of the Lynn Lake Fire Department and was involved with the Rangers. He loved collecting coins and hockey cards and other antiques. His favorite place, which holds many special memories, was Wells Lake. He especially enjoyed the annual fishing trips with his buddies and his family, telling jokes, sharing his knowledge, and ensuring he had his bread and dairy (cheezies) daily. A funeral service was held in Lynn Lake, MB on October 22. There are no words to express the gratitude to the countless people who came to us in our time of need.
