MARIE THERESE DESMARAIS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Therese Desmarais, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Victoria Hospital while surrounded by family. Marie Therese will be sadly missed by her three children: Louise (George) Clissold, Raymond (Val) Curtis and Evelyn (Ron) Van Ryckeghem; her seven grandchildren: Lee (Debbie) Witwicki, Bill (Gloria) Witwicki, Shawn (Rhonda) Clissold, Dixie Clissold, Cindy (Darren) Payjack, Tammy Curtis, Michael (Nicole) Curtis; her great-grandchildren: Cody Desjarlais, Dillin Townsend, Ashley Clissold, Collin Clissold, Adam Clissold, Jennifer Clissold, Ryan Curtis, Brandon Clissold, Cory Clissold; great great-grandchildren: Jullian Clissold, Alicia Clissold; her brother Albert (Arlene) Desmarais and her sister Rose Marie Nottingham, who passed away on December 12, 2009; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Marie Louise Desmarais; her sister Jeanne Resteaux; her brothers: Leo, Joseph, Andre and Maurice Desmarais and great-grandchildren Austin Lee and Carlie Witwicki. Marie Therese was born on June 19, 1928 in Ste. Jean, Manitoba. She moved to Fort Garry where she raised her family and helped in the running of the family business, Cash Auto Sales, with her husband George Curtis. In keeping with Marie Therese's wishes cremation has taken place and the family will be having a private ceremony celebrating her life. As I look back over time I find myself wondering Did I remember to thank you enough For all that you have done? I wonder if I ever thanked you for the sacrifices you made And for the simple things like laughter and smiles we shared. I'm thanking you now And I hope you knew all along How much you meant to me. You will always be with me And I will always be with you. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald St. 253-5086
