GUAY (GEE GUY) LAFRANCE October 30, 1940 - December 25, 2009 The Kindest Soul, The Biggest Heart Peacefully surrounded by his family Gee Guy passed away at the Pine Falls Hospital at the age of 69 years. Wake service will be held at his residence on the Sagkeeng First Nation house 611 North Shore. Funeral service will be held at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in the St. Alexander Church Cemetery. Guy leaves to mourn his passing his loving partner of 35 years Dora Courchene, daughters Shirley (Gerald), Joyce, Audrey (David), Valerie (Guy), Velma (Brian), Theresa (Wayne), Penny, and Tracy (Larry), brother Leo (Verna) and John, sister-in-law Helen, brother-in-law Germaine (Verna) and special grandson Ramie Fontaine, grandchildren Shawn, Kirsten, Shannon, Kelsey, Patrick, Jamie, Terry, Jackie, Kevin, Maya, Natasha, Alphonse, Jonathan, Justin, Chasity, Andrea, Jeremy, Susie, Corey, Danny, Aaron, Craig Shawn, Shawna and Larry and 36 great-grandchildren, friend Rod Pakoo Sr., special nephew Jerry Swampy and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Laura, father Joseph and Theresa, grandparents Nazarie and Agnes Lafrance, grandchildren Shawna, Guy J., and great-grandson Carter. The family would like to thank the doctors and his special nurses Kathie, Anita, and Mitch at the Pine Falls Hospital for their care and kindness during our Gee Guy's stay.
