LUCIE MORIN (published on January 06, 2010)



LUCIE MORIN It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Lucie Morin at Centre Medico Social De Salaberry District Health Centre in St. Pierre, MB on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by her father, Emile Joseph Morin and mother, Rosalie Gagné from Valleyfield, PQ, her sister, Hectorine and brothers Antoine (Tony) and Albert, and nephew, André Morin. Lucie leaves to mourn, sisters-in-law, Doris and Jeannine; nephews and nieces: Colette Morin, Emile Morin, (Brigitte, and their children Patrick, Marc, Christine and Darrel), Francine, Suzanne Ambrishami (Siavash and son Siamak), Diana Whittman (Egon and daughter Emilie), Michel (daughter Jessica). Lucie taught in Manitoba for some 30 years, mainly in Mountain School Division. Her main concern during those teaching years was the well-being of youngsters. Lucie later moved to Calgary and Victoria where she was deeply involved for some 15 years in catechesis with adults before moving back to Manitoba. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, January 8 at St. Viateur Church in Otterburne at 2:00 p.m. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date in the Otterburne Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the St. Pierre Hospital Staff for the amazing care given to Lucie. Flowers gratefully declined.
