| RUDOLF (RUDY) MEIER January 23, 1938 - January 3, 2010 Peacefully with his family at his side, Rudolf Meier passed away on January 3, 2010. Rudy will be deeply missed by his wife of 48 years, Margarete; sons Martin (Rosamond) of Ottawa and Fred (Elaine); grandsons Korbyn, Felix, Logan and Lucas; sister Gertrude; brother John (Lorie); nephews Wolfgang, Jurgen, Robert and Jonathon; niece Christa; grandniece Allysen. Rudy was predeceased by his parents Georg and Emma. Rudy and Margarete came to Canada in 1968, where Rudy worked as a cabinet maker until he retired in 1999. He was a long standing member of the St. Hubertus Game and Fish Club and shared his passion for the outdoors with his sons, grandsons and friends. Rudy was always available and never too busy to help family and friends. He will be missed by all that were close to him. A memorial will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel (1442 Main Street) on Thursday, January 7 at 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. |
