MADELEINE JANE DUDLEY (published on January 07, 2010)

MADELEINE JANE DUDLEY On Tuesday, January 5, 2010 Madeleine Jane Dudley passed away peacefully at the age of 80. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Doreen, and her nieces and nephew Linda, Rob (Elvia) and Sandra. Also left to mourn are her great nieces and nephews Scott (Liz), Christina (Chris), Crystal (Russell), Vanessa, Matthew, Tyler, Diane and Lisa (Jason) as well as three great great nieces and nephew Jordan, Breanna and Jaiden. Extended family in Canada and France will also remember her with love. She was predeceased by her parents Lt. Colonel Guilford and Elise Dudley, and brother-in-law Art Robinson. Madeleine was born and raised in Winnipeg. She took great pride in her career in the grain industry. Her interests were varied, from badminton and golf to French lessons and dancing. Madeleine loved to regale us with stories of her travels abroad. Her time spent in France with family was especially meaningful to her. Health issues were a part of her life for many years and she faced each new challenge with dignity, strength and grace. There are no words to express our deepest love and gratitude to Rose Closas, Madeleine's friend and caregiver for the last 13 years. The family would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of West Park Manor. In lieu of flowers, donations in Madeleine's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 BROADWAY, WINNIPEG, MB R3C OX4 783-7211 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsonfuneralchapel.com
