JEFFREY (SAM) SCOTT SMANDYCH It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our son / brother / father on December 30, 2009. Jeffrey Sam Scott Smandych was born on September 29, 1978 in Winnipeg MB, moved to Winkler, and when in grade two moved to Morden MB where he completed high school. Jeff moved to Prince George after high school, where he made many friends through his love of soccer. He is survived by a daughter Dariann and his son Avery; mother Lori and stepfather Gary Willcocks; father Ed and stepmother Judy Smandych; sisters, Sheri Mailer (Ryan), Loryn Willcocks and Angelique Tisserand; brothers, Jeff and Brad Willcocks, and Shawn and Michael Tisserand; grandparents, Jean Smandych, Lorne and Beth McCannell, and Mary Willcocks; aunts and uncles, Brenda and Ron Gilfillan, Angie and Jim Kalechyn, Jody and Brenda Smandych, Don and Susan McCannell, Sharon and Allan Kimmel, and Mike and Yolande McCannell; nephew Joshua Smandych; nieces, Molly and Piper Mailer, as well as great-aunts and uncles, cousins and close friends. A special thank you to his friend Lisa for all the friendship and support that she gave him. Her kindness has been greatly appreciated. A gathering of family and friends was held on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at the Prince George Funeral Service at 1014 Douglas St. in Prince George, BC. A full service will be held in Morden, MB on Saturday, January 9, 2010, 1:30 p.m. at the St. Paul's United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a trust fund for his children in care of Lori Willcocks, P.O. Box 2564, Morden, MB R6M 1C3.
