Noreen is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Andrew Rendall Lillie, by her daughters Brenda (George) Dunbar and Tracy Lillie (John) Lucido, by her son Andrew Dryden (Anne) Lillie, and by her six adoring grandchildren, Matthew Dunbar, Erin Dunbar, Christopher Lucido, Nicholas Lucido, Catherine Lillie and Andrew Essmeier Lillie. She also is survived by her sisters Joyce Hoffman and Norma Thompson, and was preceded in death by her parents, by her brother Harvey Dryden and by her sister Peggy Diamond. Noreen played in the Canadian Broadcasting Orchestra in Winnipeg and with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. Noreen also worked as a medical librarian at the Manitoba Medical College, where she met Andrew. After marrying in 1955, Noreen and Andy embarked on a wonderful journey together that would last nearly 55 years, living in Indianapolis, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Piedmont, CA, Hilton Head Island, SC, and since 1997 in Tucson, AZ. We will miss our beloved wife, mother and grandmother with all our hearts. She was a sweet soul who brought joy and happiness to others around her. She brightened and enriched our lives in so many ways over the years. She had a wide variety of interests and talents, including her many wonderful needlepoint and knitted creations that will continue to be enjoyed in our family for many years to come. We forever will be better people for having loved and been loved by our sweet Noreen/Mom/Nanny. We love her and miss her dearly! No formal services are planned. If desired and in lieu of flowers, donations in Noreen's loving memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to another charity of one's choosing. |
