MALCOLM (CAL) MCLEAN (published on January 09, 2010)

MALCOLM (CAL) MCLEAN Malcolm (Cal) McLean passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Concordia Hospital at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife Helen, daughter Lynda Falloon and husband Jim, and grand-children Daniel and Maureen, as well as sisters Chris Kearns and May (Midge) Ulery, sister-in-law Marjorie Richter and husband George, and nephew Mark Richter and wife Joany, and many other family members and friends. Cal was predeceased by son, James Scott, sister Dorothy Palmer and brother-in-law Owen Kearns. Cal was employed by the CNR Transcona Stores Department for 43 years. Cal had many interests and hobbies-he was Past Master of the Transcona Masonic Lodge, a member of the Shrine Drum and Bugle Corps for 11 years, and enjoyed crossword puzzles, Scrabble, playing cards, reading, working on his computer, cross stitching, folk art painting, spending time at the trailer at Spruce Sands, and playing pool twice a week with his buddies at Brandtwood Estates. But his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family. He was Daniel and Maureen's biggest fan and was always supportive and extremely proud of all their accomplishments. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. followed by a gathering of family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cal's memory to the MB Lung Assoc. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
