ANTONIA GALLO (published on January 09, 2010)

ANTONIA GALLO (nee ANANIA) Peacefully on Thursday, January 7, 2010, with her children at her bedside, mom passed away at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her husband Francesco (Frank). She leaves to mourn her children: Tony (Cathy), Peter (Diane), Mary (Ralph), and Frank (Angie); grandchildren: Frank (Francesca), Peter (Cheri), Joe (Andrea), James (Tiffany), Antonia, Carmelo, Michael, Felicia, and Amy; great-grandchildren Matthew, Katarina, Daniel, Giacinta, and Talia. Antonia is also survived by her sisters-in-law Maria Anania (Winnipeg), Mariastella Gallo (Italy) and many nieces and nephews. Antonia was born on September 6, 1925 in Amato, Italy. She immigrated to Canada in 1962. Antonia was employed by Quinton's Dry Cleaners for over 30 years. Mom enjoyed many winter holidays in Mazatlan, Mexico with Dad. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, camping, her flowers and especially family gatherings. Mom, although you are sadly missed we are comforted by knowing that you are safe in the arms of the Lord with Dad by your side. We will remember you with love. Viewing will be held Monday, January 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Parish, 510 River Ave. with Reverend Father Sam Argeniziano presiding. Entombment will be at the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley St. Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Frank, Peter, Joe, James, Antonia, Carmelo, Michael, Felicia and Amy. Special thanks to all the staff of 7 South at the St. Boniface Hospital for their compassion and support.
