JEWELL CHARLENE HUDSON (published on January 09, 2010)

JEWELL CHARLENE HUDSON Jewell Charlene Hudson was born August 31, 1947 to James and Martha Anderson in Idaho, Ohio. She was the fourth child born of 12 children. Jewell grew up in Ohio and then married David Fife in 1966. They had two children, Kimberly and Michael. Jewell lived in Ohio, where she raised her children and worked at various occupations until 1993 when she moved to Sarles, North Dakota. On July 15, 1995, she married Ross Hudson and moved to Canada where they lived on the Hudson family farm. In 2006 Ross and Jewell moved to Crystal City. Ross and Jewell enjoyed many winters in Hawaii and Arizona. Jewell also loved the outdoors and gardening in her flower and vegetable gardens in the warmer months. She cleaned houses for those who needed an extra hand and was employed as a janitor at the Crystal City Port of Entry. Her love was working with the elderly; therefore she was also employed at the Rock Lake Personal Care Home and Prairie View Lodge in Pilot Mound from 1997 until 2007 as a health care aide. Jewell was involved in the Red Hat Ladies of Pilot Mound, Manitoba, and the Piece Makers Quilt Guild of Sarles, North Dakota. She enjoyed attending church at the Faith Christian Fellowship Church of Morden, Manitoba. Jewell was a loving, giving person. She adopted children from third world countries by donating money and would always give to anyone in need. In 2007 she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. She fought a long, hard battle for two and a half years and was called to heaven on January 1, 2010 with friends, family and co-workers at her side. Those who lovingly shared in Jewell's life include: her loving devoted husband Ross; her children, Kimberly and Michael; her grandchildren, Whitney, and Carrie, Brandon and Shelby; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Noah; brothers, Jimmie, Michael and Raymond; sisters, Millie, Phyllis, Bunnie, Wanda, Ronna, Janice and Paula, several nieces and nephews, and tons of friends. Jewell was predeceased by her parents, James and Martha; her infant brother Paul David; husband David Fife; and both maternal and paternal grandparents. God has taken her home, so let us not be sad but celebrate her life and the time we had with her. Grahams Funeral Home, Pilot Mound
