| JEAN ZAGRODNIK (nee Burak) Peacefully on January 9, 2010, Jean passed away at Concordia Hospital at the age of 89 years. Jean is survived by her four children Ron, Larcine, Dennis and Diane; granddaughter Charlotte; siblings Jessie, Katherine, Mary, William and other relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1977; parents Stephen and Christina Burak; siblings Annie and Pauline. Jean was born August 9, 1920 in her parents home four and one-half miles north west of Meleb, Manitoba. She attended Cumming School, which was a one-room school about a mile from her home. At school she was known as Jennie Burak. Jean married Peter Zagrodnik in 1940 and the family resided on a farm four and one-half miles north east of the village of Fisher Branch, Manitoba, where they raised their children. After Peter passed away, Jean moved to live with her son Ron until her passing. In accordance with Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
