SAMUEL R. FABIAN January 24, 1961 - January 8, 2010 Peacefully, Samuel Fabian passed away on January 8, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 48 years. Samuel was predeceased by his father, Arturo Fabian, his mother Teodora Fabian. He will be deeply missed by his brothers Rico (Janet), Alvin (Vina), Merlyn (Vicky), Nestor, and Renato; his sisters Amelia (Jose), Ofie (Ruben), and Lilian (Obeth); nieces and nephews, Avoon, JB, Michael (Riene), Twilight (Derek), Lilibeth, and MJ; great-nephew Fonzy and great-niece Tila. Samuel was a Hairdresser/Barber. He came to Winnipeg in 1991 from the Philippines. He was the original owner of Salon De Manila on Sargent Avenue in Winnipeg. Sam loved travelling and saw many parts of the world. He loved life and lived it to his fullest. He was unique, stylish, and had exquisite taste. He was the life of the party and enjoyed spending his free time with close friends. We will always remember the good times, laughter, and happiness that Sam shared with us. He will be missed and never forgotten by loved ones and friends. Viewing/Lamay to be held on Friday, January 15 and Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to Midnight in the Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. (corner of Inkster and Keewatin). Prayer Vigil will be held on Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Father Francois Noaga Kola presiding. Mass of the Resurrection to be held on Monday, January 18, 2010 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin Street at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Assumption Cemetery, Chapel Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Avenue. Reception to follow at the Mosaic Reception Lounge, 1839 Inkster Blvd. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to doctors, nurses, UA, and the staff on the 4th and 5th floor at the Health Sciences Centre for their exceptional care during Sam's last days.
