| ALBERTA ROSE RACHAEL PELLAND (nee GILKES) Auntie Bertie Alberta Pelland of Two Hills, Alberta passed peacefully surrounded by family on January 4, 2010. Alberta is survived by her loving husband Oliver; sons Lyall and Tracy and a beautifully extended family which includes Leanne, Judy, Darrell, Brent, Corinne, and Fraser. Mom was the proud grandmother of seventeen grand-children and four great-grandchildren. Alberta is also survived by brothers and sisters Roy, Ronnie, Millie, Andy, Beatrice and Donna. Alberta will always be remembered as Auntie Bertie by her numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She loved and adored all children as if they were her own and children will always remember their time with Auntie Bertie. Alberta will also be missed by her family and friends in Calgary, Edmonton, St. Paul, Two Hills, and Vegreville, Alberta; Winnipeg and Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba; and Toronto, Ontario. Alberta was predeceased by her parents Albert and Pearl, sister Margaret, and son Albert Arthur. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15 at Fedun's Funeral Chapel, 5106-50 Avenue, Vegreville, AB. A second Memorial will be held in Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba on July 15, 2010. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Good bye to our Matriach.
