MICHAEL WILLIAM PAGE (published on January 15, 2010)

MICHAEL WILLIAM PAGE Michael William Page of the RM of Springfield died peacefully in his home Wednesday, January 13, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. Mike was born in Winnipeg on June 14, 1956 the only child of Michael and Anne Puznicki. Mike was passionate about many things, including cooking, inventing, cars and of course his shiny things . He loved his family, his community and his church. Mike devoted many hours to helping his community through the COPPS Program and church activities. He unfortunately did not live long enough to fulfill his dream of becoming a Deacon, but this did not falter his Faith in the Church and God. He had an amazing zest for life and always found the good in everything. After many years of being self-employed, he finally found his dream job at Sears on Inkster. Anna, he looked forward to your telephone calls and visits from friends at Sears. He always had a positive outlook and an unstoppable sense of humour, even until the end. Mike is survived by his loving wife Debra and three sons, Michael, Stephen and Daniel, who he was very proud of. Brother and sister-in-law, David and Pam and their children, Pearl-Ann and Amber. His aunt and uncle, Helen and Paul Zeglinski, who were like parents to him, and he loved dearly. His cousins, David (Kim), Bobby (Cindy), Len (Julie), Lloyd (Lisa) and Patricia (Bill), who were more like his siblings than cousins. He always carried a special place in his heart for Erika and Ian who he loved as his children. Mike was loved by many and will be greatly missed. We would like to thank our family, friends, Church family, and community for all your support throughout Mike's battle with cancer. We couldn't have gone through this battle without you. We would also like to thank Dr. P. Cho, Dr. Schroeder, Dr. Dueck and their staff, North Eastman Palliative Care staff and especially Peter and Debbie, Mike's homecare workers for caring for Mike. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Cooks Creek. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception Church with Fr. Taras Kowch officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Immaculate Conception Church Restoration Fund. VICHNAYA PAM'YAT
