REMI RIGAUX Peacefully, Remi Rigaux passed away on January 13, 2010 in the Victoria General Hospital with his wife and daughter by his side, at the age of 97. Remi was born June 6, 1912 in St. Alphonse, MB. He married Yvonne Lombaert in 1937 and they began their life together farming in Mariapolis, MB, where they later had their first and only child, Elsie. In 1948, the family moved to Winnipeg and Remi began his long and successful working career at Building Products until retirement. After 72 years of marriage he is survived by his loving family, wife Yvonne, daughter Elsie Mauws (Larry), granddaughter Susan Clubine (Dave), great-grandson Christopher, grandson Michael Mauws (Kelly), great-grandson Gibson Remi and great-granddaughter Meredith. He is also survived by his brother Maurice Rigaux, sister-in-law Julliette Rigaux (Lucien), sister-in-law Judy Lombaert (Marcel) and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Emma, sister Rachel, brothers Richard, Urselyn and Lucien and brother-in-law Marcel Lombaert. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
