| PAUL MICHAEL MARCOE May 28, 1952 - January 12, 2010 Following a brief illness, Paul Marcoe died on January 12, 2010, at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. Paul was born in Winnipeg on May 28, 1952 and attended West Kildonan Collegiate and the University of Manitoba. He subsequently moved to Toronto and obtained a Master's Degree in Social work and spent his career working in a social services capacity, most recently with the Province of Ontario. Paul is survived by his loving parents, Bernice and Leonard, dear sister, Valli, his partner, Karen Green and his beloved son, Jack. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the dedicated and compassionate staff at Princess Margaret Hospital for the care extended toward Paul. We are especially appreciative of his colleagues for their support, and are so grateful to Paul's friends from all across Canada who came to visit with him during the past few weeks. The family especially wishes to thank Karen Green, Marilyn Renwick and Kenn Richard for their support, time, and devotion they extended to Paul during his illness. Funeral services were held in Toronto on Thursday, January 14, 2010. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Paul's name may be made to the Max and Beatrice Wolfe Centre for Children's Grief and Palliative Care in Toronto, or the charity of your choice. |
