GEORGE OSWALD MAIN February 6, 1920 - September 21, 2009 The family of George Oswald Main are saddened to announce his passing on September 21, 2009 in Kamloops, BC at the age of 89 years. Left to mourn are his daughters Ruth Alexis Main (Dave Glowa), Catherine Helen Kabernick (Morley), and Margaret Lois Main (Tom), his grandchildren Melisa, Joshua, Morley, Christopher, Jessica, Nicholas and Jonathon, and his great-grandson Kaleb. Also surviving are his siblings Ruth Catherine Main of Stow, Ohio, Margaret Schoenberg (Manuel) of Indian Lake, New York and Bruce Main (Vina) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and his many nieces and nephews. George was born and raised in Manitoba, he worked for many years as a Food Manager and later as a berry and worm farmer. He later moved to BC for health reasons. George loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed being close to mother nature. He will be missed by all who knew him. As per his wishes George was cremated and there will be no formal service. His ashes will be scattered in the Thompson River at Ashcroft, British Columbia at a later date.
