| SOLITA EGERT (nee De DECKER) It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, wife, daughter, sister, auntie and friend, Solita Egert on January 19, 2010, at age 40. Beloved wife of Jason, loving and proud mom to Joshua and Julia, treasured daughter to Yvonne and Jean and Bonnie and Emil, cherished sister to Gary and Sandy and Shayne and Carol adoring auntie to Dylan. Dear friend to many. Solita embraced this life fully and devoted herself to her family and friends. She made the good times even better with her contagious smile and infectious laugh. She made the difficult times bearable with her compassion, love and strength. Her precious children were her biggest joy and Solita never took her time with them for granted. She shaped her life to ensure her family would always be the center of her universe. Her greatest pleasures were family vacations with long walks on white sand beaches searching for treasures with her children, camping trips with friends and family, family movie nights snuggled up with her family, playing games until the wee hours of the morning with friends and family, telling tales around a campfire and enjoying a glass of wine with friends and family. Solita will be remembered for many things, her endless capacity to love, fierce loyalty, rich sense of humor, compassion for those she loved and ability to find joy in every situation. We are filled with gratitude to have been the ones this spirited and bright soul shared her short but full life with. A special thank you goes out to all the staff at the Health Sciences Centre D6 Unit and CancerCare for their exceptional care. A celebration of Solita's life will be held at the Parish of St. Timothy, 135 John Forsyth Road, Winnipeg on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Phil Daley presiding.
