GEORGE EDWARD SCHULTZ Peacefully, in the early morning of January 22, 2010 George Schultz passed away. He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis, his brother Norman and his parents. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughters, Barbara (Wayne) and Elizabeth, his granddaughters, Stacey (Steve) and Marcey (Michael) and his great-grandchildren Kerri-Lynn, Bailey, Bryce and Baron. George served his country in the Navy in the Second World War where he met his wife Phyllis. George loved his career as a postal mail carrier where he had many friends. After retiring, George and Phyllis would spend their winters in Weslaco, Texas. George would spend several hours building homes for the less fortunate in Mexico. In the summers they would spend time at their cottage in Brereton Lake. George was a member of the Masonic Temple and loved his time as a Shriner. George loved growing his roses and fishing on the river bank of his property on Kingston Crescent. A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 28 at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. The family wishes to thank the health care staff of the Victoria General Hospital for their care and compassion in George's final days. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted in George's name at the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 9Z9.
