He leaves to mourn his wife of 40 years, Donna, and his daughters: Charlene (Gerry), Lisa (Rob), Ralna (Cameron), and Jennifer (Martin). He is also survived by his sisters: Anita Paul and Cecilia Allard (Leo) as well as his brother Benny (Suzanne), in-laws: Herb Perkin and Maria Bruce, and extended family. Joseph was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Albertine, and siblings: Ethel, Dorothy, Edgar, Roland, Laura, Lionel, Robert and Ella. Joseph was born and raised in St. Laurent, Manitoba on July 18, 1934. He was a dedicated CN Rail employee for 35 years before he retired in 1987. He had a great passion for music, photography and sports, but his happiest moments were spent surrounded by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Joseph to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Prayers will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. followed by mass at 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, 2400 Portage Ave. Reception to follow. A heart of gold stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the very best, Leaves and flowers may wither The golden sun may set, But the hearts that loved you dearly, Are the ones that Won't forget. -Author Unknown Chapel Lawn 885-9715 |
