JOSEPHINE (JOSIE) BOUCHARD (published on January 28, 2010)
| JOSEPHINE (JOSIE) BOUCHARD (nee BUDNIAK) Peacefully in hospital January 23, 2010 following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She will be deeply missed by her family, especially her loving husband Leo Bouchard. She was the proud mother of Linda (Gord) Cruikshank of New Brunswick, proud grandmother of Tammy (Mike) Burnside (Burlington) and Todd Cruikshank (Ottawa) and loving great-grandmother of Megan and Sebastian Burnside. She is survived by siblings John and Isabel and predeceased by her mother Effie (nee Gardner) Hemming, father Donald Budniak, and her sister Virginia (Gordon) Winters. Josephine was born in Stony Mountain, MB on November 26, 1930 and spent her formative years in Winnipeg where she married Leo. They relocated to Ottawa in the early 1950s and have lived there ever since. She had a wonderful, fiery spirit and was well loved by those who knew her. Josie and her family would like to express their sincere appreciation to workers from WeCare Home Health Services, in particular Ana and Dr. Aldridge; as well as the wonderful staff at Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital for their kindness and assistance. Friends are invited to visit the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road (at Aviation Parkway) Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Contributions in memory Mrs. Bouchard may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
