| GILBERT GERARD FOURNIER It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father and grandfather, Gilbert Fournier, aged 70, on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Gilbert was born in Steinbach on October 31, 1939 to Alice and Narcisse Fournier. Gilbert was educated as a steamfitter and plumber and worked in many parts of Manitoba before settling down in La Broquerie to raise his family. Gilbert is survived by Anita, his loving wife of 45 years; his children, Dennis and Michel (Cheryl) and his five grandchildren, Noah and Allyson, and Luke, Joseph and Samuel. Gilbert also leaves to mourn his passing his 10 brothers and sisters, Narcisse, Alphonse, Bernard, Oscar, Denise, Eveline, Clemence, Florence, Rose-Aimée and Liliane. Funeral service will be held at St. Joachim Roman Catholic Church in La Broquerie on Saturday, January 30 at 2:30 p.m. with viewing prior to the service. Msgr. Albert Frechette will be officiating.
