EARL WILLIAM ALBERT LITTLE Earl William Albert Little passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 30, 2010 at The Charleswood Care Home, with his loving wife Joyce by his side. Earl was born in Stonewall, Manitoba on August 17, 1920. Earl and Joyce met in 1950 and they were married on June 4, 1955. He built a home in Headingley where he raised his six boys, who he loved hunting and fishing with. He enjoyed bowling and curling and collected many trophies through the years. He also loved to travel with his wife Joyce. They spent many winters in Arizona and summers at Lake Manitoba Narrows with good friends Peter and Winnie. Earl served in the Air Force for three years. He was a member of the A.N.A.F. 283 for 45 years with many of them spent on the Executive and two years as President. Earl helped to build the Trans-Canada, drove semi, and finally worked for City of Winnipeg until he retired in 1985. Earl will be lovingly remembered by his wife Joyce, sons Gordy, Garry (Doreen), Brian (Jan), Ross (Cheryl), Bradley (Linda), and David, grandchildren Dallas, Alyssa, Wade, Derek, Brent, Christine, Tawny, and Kyle, great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Emily, and Rhiannon, niece Bonnie Gerraurd. He was predeceased by his mother Nora Little, father William Little, and sister Alice Gillespie. The Family would like to thank the staff at the Charleswood Care Home for the excellent care that he received for the past 16 months. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 4 at 1:00 p.m. at The Army Navy and Air Force Veterans Assiniboia Unit 283 at 3584 Portage Ave. with a reception to follow.
