GLENDA JOY BLACKLEDGE (published on February 02, 2010)
GLENDA JOY BLACKLEDGE It is with deepest sadness we announce the passing of a loving wife, mother and grandmother on January 2, 2010 at the Riverview Medical Centre in Winnipeg, with her family by her side. Glenda was born to Maurice and Mary Piett, the third of four daughters, on January 22, 1948 in Neepawa. She married Fred Blackledge and from this union they had two children, Jason and Cindy. Glenda worked for the Manitoba Justice in the Family Law Branch. She enjoyed her work and made many devoted friends there. She was a kind and caring person and made friends easily. She had a great love of gardening. She couldn't wait for spring to come so she could start tending her gardens. She especially loved her lilies. She enjoyed the summertime when she could chat with her neighbours over the fence in the backyard sometimes sharing a joke or two. We will always remember her for her humour. She loved to laugh. Glenda also loved music. She was so proud to have her Dad's piano and it was her family's greatest enjoyment to hear her play. She also enjoyed reading, knitting and doing puzzles in her spare time. Glenda was first and foremost a devoted wife and mother. She was also patient, loving and supportive. She encouraged her children to be the best they could and had such faith in them succeeding. She took special pride in her grandson Gage and all his accomplishments at school. She loved to play with her twin granddaughters Lyric and Trust, and got such enjoyment out of the things they would say. Glenda also leaves to mourn three sisters, Gayle Hunter of Neepawa, Carol (Ron) LeBoutillier of Neepawa, Cherie (Randy) Paswisty of Neepawa and numerous nieces and nephews. Deep in our hearts you'll stay, loved and remembered every day. |
